Daybreak confession to the Sea
Daybreak confession to the Sea
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
I have reached the bottom of the bottle.
Now distraught and delirious dreams led me to wishing.
I was swimming in your warm sweet kisses.
Desiring steamy long nights of passion in your embrace.
I have joined the bonafide brethren of men who cradle love in their hands.
And misused the sweet woman.
Now I sit in a abyss of shit sipping bourbon.
Walking on a tightrope.
I wish for those nights when you came to me in your sexy red negligee.
Your brown eyes taking the weight of the world away.
I try to forget your beautiful face.
I pick-up another shot of whiskey.
Raise the glass up and whisper to a divine and beautiful woman.
Who flee my worthless life.
Daybreak will be merciful.
I sit alone by the sea.
I will calculate how kind and noble you were.
Sent a Angel to me with beautiful brown eyes.
To bring joy and laughter back into a sad life.
I’m sorry.

The adultery is with alcohol. Immersed in drink disables us from giving love and from receiving love from those who had once cared for us. And one wonders why.

Alcohol is a powerful addiction. I lost four brothers to drugs and alcohol. Some people want instant high and forget what is important. Thank you for reading and the comment.

Sad but at least you regret the loss whilst some never get to that realisation that they had something precious and squandered it

Some folks don’t want to learn. Karma is a fair judge. We will pay for all good and bad deeds in the end.
