I’m nothing without you

I’m nothing without you

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

"

Without love near. What are we?

"

I’m nothing without you

We are standing on a dangerous edge. Our sweet love had turned cold.
You do not know what to do. Fight for our love or take flight.

I know the real truth. When you are gone from me. I won’t know the sunshine of your beautiful face.
I will miss you hellos and sweet kiss. I know I wasted love and energy on useless things. I know you are my everything and I’m just a destitute man needing your caress.

Once we held unbounded love and we traveled into unchartered territories. Our young eyes became old.
You whispered. Johnnie, are you with me? Are you going to be part of my life? You must come back to where we knew love and laughter. We have not surpassed the final ending. Love on a thread is  balanced on the promises of love and kindness kept.

I looked at sad brown eyes and I fell to the ground and laid my head into her lap. I wrapped my arms around  her and I whispered.  I remember when  your brown eyes shined for me. You made me crazy and I yearn for your kiss and embrace as soon as I left you. The allure of your face waiting for me made my life okay. I need you my love. If I lose you. A slice of me will be gone. The best part.

Sweet woman pondered my words. She caressed my hair and face and told me. How long can we hold madness in love? Is loving worth the rewards of bleeding, screaming and disappointment? Are you here or somewhere else? If you are here. I will stay.

“What peace can be, where both to one pretend.”   Dryden

“Can life be a blessing, or worth the possessing, can life be a blessing if love were away.”   Dryden

I stood up and brought her near. I told her, love can be fickle and false. I do know that you are my blessing . I would beg and plead to keep you near. You are my sacred and wonderful dream. I want us to try.

“Neglected love is dying love. Dying love seldom can transcend to the surface again.” Dryden

She smiled and told me. Tonight we will play rummy upon our bed. Drink some good wine and become friends again. I will sing to you and we will find poetry for the heart. I love you Johnnie.

Two people found tears and hope. Love lost can be found when two hearts dig deep and don’t forget the simple gifts of love. Long walks, long talks, keep the passion alive and know.

Love is rare and so sweet.
