Today is National Poetry Day and to mark this occasion, I wrote another poem. XD
Poetry speaks from the heart;
It picks me up when I’m down,
When I give up, it gives me a fresh start
And it makes me smile, whenever I frown.
In an unstable and insecure world where compassion is viewed as a weakness and peace unattainable, poetry is food for my soul: so well expressed in the above poem.
To you, John Coyote, and to poets everywhere who “pick [us] up when [we’re] down,” a big thank you.

Thank you Rosaliene. I agree. Read the book “The Lucky child”. A man who saw hell and back. Became a leader for peace. These are the words we need to be read.
