Sunk (poem)
Amazing poetry by a talented writer. Please read and enjoy.
The sea swept me out
Away past the idle shore
If only you were a sparrow
In that moment my love
Bearing me up on wing
Away from the depths
The floor met me
In dark silence
Sand and debri floating around
Like a nebula
If only you were a secretive beast
Searching for gold amongst wreckage
I was cold and crushed
Embolisms and dust bones
Strange alien lifeforms salvaging my parts
If only
But you were not,
You were only what you were
My refuge
