Cyanotic, ice blue bulging fingers
prickling electrical shooting
from tingling toes to knee caps
red hued and freckled bruising
purple like a teetering tower
voice echoing atop skyrocketing altitude
breathless and oxygen saturation plummeting

I cannot breathe

pale, cachectic body wearing thin
cardiac palpitations with alarms ring
ventricular fibrillations and chest pounding

firm hands on a crackling chest
shocking louder than cannonballs

my brain is foggy

ocean blue wisps like clouds above green
unicorns with wings cradling flying saucers
illuminating rainbows like a portal
mars is red in the night sky
sun beams on my flowing golden locks

so, this is morphine

warmth swims like a raging river
a child dancing in the clear water
waterfall caresses glimmering skin

lightning bugs burst in sparks of moon beams
dazzling light from a starry sky

flying.
