I listen
And I hear
What I hear
Is what I write
Inspiration coming from sounds
I listen to the wind
Telling me the secrets of the ages
I listen to the night
Hearing the beautiful sounds of darkness
I listen to music
All kinds of music
I listen to my heartbeat
When it’s very quiet
I turn these sounds into words
I turn words into phrases
Phrases into poetry
I listen to the silence
And I write
