A gossamer sheet of glitter diaphanous 
Covers the undulating waves 
Where sparkles 
From the myriad stars a’scintillating  
Adorn the endless ripples 
And dance for joy on the tranquil ocean
Beneath the lofty heavens 
A’glister in the night  
As they watch over the enchanted bay 
Of gently rolling hills 
Softly intoning their sweet lullabies 
Adrift across the waters
Beneath the vast imponderable depths 
Of the great canvas of indigo 
That shrouds the slumbering world
While a row of small houses 
In the ramshackle hamlet 
That lines the seashore 
Basks in the light of the halo of silver
Agleam around the great orb of night
As it casts a benign glow over the realm below 
A’shimmer on the surface of the inky green sea
