Gray, Black, Endless – A Landay Poem
Amazing work by a talented writer.

Grey days blend, rain drizzle, limbo haze
Trapped in this lonely maze
My body yearns for your gazeBlack nights reign, empty bed, frozen soul
Stuck in a depressive sinkhole
Need touch to be wholeEndless longing, without belonging
Hot tears sting, touched soul-seed loud sings
Survive until spring©RedCat

This poem is written in a Landay pattern, meaning it’s three couplets with nine syllables in the first line and thirteen in the second. Then I had the idea of an internal rhyme in the second line, and broke it into two for sheer effect! 🙂
Written for the Sunday Muse # 138, and inspired by the fact that Stockholm has had ZERO sun hours since November 28th.

Stunning!
