early days of spring,

this fever begins,

settling itself within,

concentration withheld.

watching petals as

they drift past

partially open window.

drifting sweet scent,

borne by early

morning rain

permeates her room.

sunshine breaks,

daydreams

spinning around

thoughts of him.

for her time moves

endlessly slow

until they meet

beneath their tree.
