The waltz….
The Waltz
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
The ocean and love create emotions and passion that stay with us forever.”
The waltz …..
(Was publish in small press, many moon ago.)
We were doing a waltz upon the beach.
The waves were the orchestra and
the wind was whispering a love song to us.
I tossed her into a twirl and
I brought her back to me.
By the light of the moon.
Two lovers danced the movement of freedom
and celebrating being alive.
I whispered to her. “Marcella, Marcella, let’s make this day last forever.”
We come back to the ocean after each journey.
The ocean keeps our secrets.
The dancing waves are always waiting.
She was as beautiful as when I first saw her
and I held her like she was my last breath.
Two shadows upon a naked beach.
Doing the dance of hope and freedom.
The cold of winter is surrounding us.
We warm each other with laughter and dancing.
Two friends, lovers and travelers who come to celebrate being alive.
Peace for a moment for two people who love the road.
We find each other at the end of our journeys.
Two wanderers in search of peace.
I love you my beautiful Marcella

You are so welcome John. I hope you enjoy your Sunday. I always like to think that my father had kindness and affection while he was deployed. Your stories always make me think of him. I am so grateful for that. Love and hugs John, Joni 🤗❤️

Soldiers take care of soldiers dear Joni. Marcella was a sister of my friend wife in the Army. I hope you are doing well and having some fun.

Trying to have fun. Feeling like we need a trip. I am glad to hear you say that John. Soldiers do take care of each other. My dad would have parties for all the men that he was in charge of who were very far away from home. My mother would cook and our small house and four acres was open to all. We were little then but I remember they all seemed so grateful. I am well, thank you John. Your stories really are a comfort to me as I imagine my father, so handsome in his uniform, finding comfort and kindness when he was gone. Marcella sounds like she was special and a lot of fun. Sending you my love. 🦋🤗❤️
