What do we have left?
What do we have left?
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
Is our memories, leftover bitter wine or the poet’s weath?
What do we have left?…
(Take away love, and Earth is our tomb.)
Robert Browning
Joy and love. These are fierce and powerful desires.
Wake or sleep when we are overdosed on emotion.
Vision of beautiful places and faces keep us alive and strong.
Ravishing faces make us wish and dream till we can repeat the sweet
dance of love.
The ecstasy of the fond lover leave us wishing to repeat the sweet midnight dances
and embrace our lovers close on cold and windy nights.
Love is like the seasons. We can be cold as Winter day and hot as a Summer day.
True love need balance and hard work.
We must make our sweet love feel they are the only one.
Make them content and swim in joy and happiness.
Love come in many colors. We can be dark or filled with brightness.
We must be flexible and willing or the love could die and fade away.
Take away love and kindness. What is left?
Our world become only a tomb waiting for death.
