Baby Mia…

  Mia…

I am very lucky. My kind daughter allowed me to watch my grand-daughter, Monday to Friday. 7am-4pm.

I work part-time at night to ensure I have the energy to watch her.

She is 18  months old, with eyes of hope, with eyes of questions and eyes of tomfoolery.

She loved the song and dance songs on the YouTube. I am dancing with her for hours. And I enjoy.

She is my go-go baby girl. She wants the library, the park and the lake.

I became a better grandfather than father. I didn’t know. Children grow like weeds. You must make time for them.

I have five grandchildren and my four children are doing well. I have good health and the bills are paid.

Baby Mia, only loved her grandpa. We sing together all-day. I create a place for her to play and relax. She knows she is safe.

I try to be like my grandparent. Be the person the children can come for help. A place for the grandchildren to run freely with no fences. A fun place to be.

In my Mia’s eyes, her smile. I know what love can be…
