Lakota Lullaby and my May-day hope…

April morning…

The days of May are coming

Kind earth is alive and we must become the people of the sun.

The fire are burning and

grandfathers must become the story tellers by the moving river.

He must entice the children to listen,

maybe learn?

He told the children of a great people,

who lived in the forest,

only take from kind nature,

what would be used.

He had showed them, the great waterfall in the deep forest,

and he reminded the child.

The powerful waterfall,

like us, always moving forward.

Always brave.

He reminded them of the long river.

He told the children.

We are like the river.

Running toward the big water.

We are like the river,

unstoppable spirits without walls or barriers to stop our dreams.

You must know who you are and where you came from.

The grandfather saw the children eyes and the wanted into run into the forest.

He told them.

We were free people once and we are still free people.

befriend the bear, pray to the hawk and the eagle.

Be wise like the coyote and know your terrain like the wolf.

Go to the forest my grandchildren.

He watched them vanish into the vast trees and he prayed.

Please Great Spirit. Send the gift of calm and peace.

Old earth need to learn.

We are one people and one earth.

We must shared the land and be kind to her.

For the sake of every child who dances upon the earth.
