Peace shall come, even it is, one by one…
I was a soldier once and I didn’t paint the face of war. I attempted to forget the damn wars with the good drink, the kind women and the ancient cities.
A pretty Auburn hair Texas gal in Belton asked me. Johnnie, Johnnie. Are you drinking again? I told her. I am drinking more, laughing more and dancing some. Sometime dear Brigid, we can reach the dead-end. She laughed at my words and she knew. Hell-board spirits ain’t seeking happiness, till they decide they need some kindness.
I told her. Old poet, the old drunk cannot see the good no-more. I believe Bukowski told us. Never truth a man or women, who don’t drink. The non-drinkers tell us, God will save us. Where was God when my friends were killed in far-away wars? Where is God today? Killing women/children and destroying cities in Ukraine. Where is God?
We are damn by liars in Washington and mad men run our world. She took his hand and she whispered. Few angels on this earth dear Johnnie. God is on vacation and you and me. Tonight you will drink less, dance more and we can watch the moon fall and the sunrise. We will pray for peace, burn some white sage and we will dance in the holy desert. I am your Gypsy Texas gal and maybe? Peace will come, even if one by one, we must seek peace Johnnie. Never forget the wars going on. Maybe we can create a song of peace, maybe we can create a song of love. Maybe we can create a world, where every child is safe and sound. Our first step dear friend. Is to pray, burn sage for Ukraine and hope. Our leader learn. Every child is someone baby.
I kissed her forehead and her hands. Dear Brigid. You are right dear friend. We need a road trip to the Texas sea. We will find the sea. Thank you for being kind to me. She gave me a hug and she whispered. We will be okay dear friend.

I often wonder if there IS a god…not much evidence to prove there is.
