Love letters to Marcella Beatrice. My enchantress.
My enchantress. Letters to Marcella Beatrice. Letter number one.
Dear Marcella Beatrice.
I do miss you so and you broke my heart at the airport. I know you need your home, Florence and I am a career soldier locked-up in the messy life of soldiers. Sometimes, duty and service can become dirty words. I wanted to follow you to Florence and the pathos of my life would be broken. You taught me, life was more than me and when I watch the sea alone now. I still can see you dancing barefoot with the September Pacific. I drink more, I laugh less and my lukewarm dreams have become worthless. I hope you are studying and not wandering dear Marcella. I am writing more and I travel to Big Sur every Sunday. I befriended the River Inn poets and singers. I believe my sad eyes, make me look safe to them. A kind poet name Alisa at the River Inn river, she told me. We cannot write till we cut ourselves many times with disappointment. Life is lesson and more lessons till we learn. What we need.
I miss my sea dancer and I did like our phone conversation last week. I remember your voice, I remember you smile and I dream of touching your tattoos on your back and your legs. I know, you told me often. Please write and travel. Seek the dead-end roads and climb to the hidden and secret places. You enchanted my heart dear Marcella Beatrice and I know. Love is for the lucky and I am not the lucky one. In my dreams. I found you in Florence and we drank the ambrosia wine, we danced by the Rhine river and I stayed with you.
I wrote in my journal. The greatest sin, we can do. Is forget our dreams. Now I drink the tequila alone with a lime. You told me often. Lime is more dangerous than a lemon. Let’s drink for the Goddess of the sea, let’s dance for the moon and the stars. I know dear Marcella, you are a free-spirit, who adore wall-less places and love, that doesn’t own you.
This is my first letter to you dear Marcella Beatrice. I will call you on Sunday at midnight and I love you so. Please have some fun and don’t forget the soldier who love his enchantress.
All my love
Johnnie.
