When I stand, could you see me?
Could you see my nakedness and declare it sleek?
Could you perceive my soul and tell what my hidden pastures stream?
Could you tell what it is I’ve hidden?
Could you sieve out anxiety from my smiles and bid my fears Adieu.

When I talk, could you be still?
Could my whispering eyes be louder than my lips
Could your knight calm my fretting hands?
And my oceanic dazzle sprint to you?
Could you trust my winds to sail,
Could you trust my feet to dance?

When I cry, could you cry too?
Could you mourn my innocence when my roses drip wine
Could you call me back when I get flustered
Could my basement be your battlefield and my cold nights your gaze?

When I sleep, could you watch a bit before dozing off
Could our nights be promising
Could our warmth…
