What is right, what is wrong? Dear Jennifer.
Jennifer wanted to drive my Dodge truck. We put the baby seat in the back seat. Tiffany was content with the roomy old truck. The Dodge truck had cross the country many times. Never a problem with her. Jennifer loved the feel of the truck. She told me. I hate my small car, I never feel safe. I loved watching her drive and I wandered back to 1987. I remember a beautiful 18 year girl came to me with wine coolers and a smile. I knew. If I allowed her in. I was done for. I learn many moons ago. If a woman want something, nothing can stop her from getting it.
She touched my leg and she asked. Who are you dreaming about? A sexy Army gal? I told her. Just a old kind memory about us. You were the prettiest gal I ever seen and today. You are more beautiful. She smiled. I know you will forget me in California. Those surfers girls will steal your heart and I will be just a memory in your poetry. We arrived at the Big Boy restaurant and she ordered her spaghetti and a kid meal for Tiffany. I ordered breakfast. She did the talking. She told be about her school and she wanted to be a nurse. I just watched her and I enjoyed hearing her voice.
Tiffany was a good girl. She watched us and played with her food. I told her. You believe your Daddy will like me? She smiled and she told me. He remembered you. Remember you called him when I was testing drugs in Ann Arbor. You saved my life and he appreciate what did still. I am his baby girl. I forgot this part and I told her. I am glad you are okay dear Jennifer.
We left the restaurant and the father’s house was large and roomy. He was kind to me. We talked of life, we talked of war and in private. He told me. Thank you for being my daughter’s friend. She was deep trouble and you saved her. My home is your home.
We went back to Jennifer apartment and she asked. What do you want to do tonight? We can go to Jackson, Michigan. They is a mall and I must buy presents. I told her. Anything her heart desired.
I sat as she re-dressed into new clothing. A tight black dress, bare-shoulder blouse and a beautiful a smile. I wrote poetry as she put on her war-paint. Tiffany was content to play in her playland.
“She bared her skin,
she open-up her legs and she opened up mouth.
Demanding to be satisfice without fear.
She wanted to feel everything.
She wanted hands, mouth and to fill a hunger, they wants more.
Blind love know the dance where the skin can win only.
Pleasure wants more pleasure. And more pleasure.
Midnight dances demand payment.
Midnight hours always want more.”
——
“The flood of time, we shall know.
We will forsake the things, we loved.
We will forget, who we were.
We will play saint, we will play devil.
Neither can win.
Twisted dreams, twisted needs.
Leave us barren and alone.”
Tiffany ran to my feet and Jennifer looking more goddess than mama. I told her. Am I a burden. I can leave you be? She fell to her knees and she held me. She whispered. I have little to give and with you. I am brave. You and I. We both need the kindness of gentle touch, kind words and a friend. Can you do this Johnnie? I told her yes.

I agree my friend. But love needs two people wanting the same things. Thank you for reading.

I agree with you there. Too often in a relationship, people’s needs and wants don’t jive and they have trouble connecting.

We all learn this too soon. I told my children. Slow and easy. Ensure you know the person. Don’t want to be with someone, you dislike.
