Pleasure and the pain..
Pleasure and the pain.
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
Life will teach us many things. ![]()
Pleasure and the pain…
Pleasure and pain, we shall know.
A twisted dance we do.
You say you love me,
you say you need me and
we stand in opposite corners,
like two tired prize fighters.
Somehow we have murdered the love,
we knew once.
Now our garden, we create.
Filled with weeds and dead grass.
I asked her. Should we stay? Should we go?
Maybe we need to escape the mess of us.
We are like two beat-up fighters,
not knowing to give-in or keep fighting.
Once warm bed had turn colder and
the need to embrace, had turn to forgotten memory.
I wrote into my notebook,
when love died,
love died a misery death.
And no-one can win.
I looked into her eyes and I asked.
Are we just furniture in a morgue,
accepting just enough,
praying for a escape?
