4th of July poetry. Remember. Don’t allow hateful men to steal our freedom to decide.
The Lover, A Soldier prayer.
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
Soldier goes off to War. Need kind and sweet memories to keep them human. ![]()
The Lover (A soldier prayer)..
Poor boys and men.
Their roads lead to War.
Young woman with a sweet smile,
silk dress and
smelling like sweet flowers.
She whispered, “Let’s dance tonight.
You shall go to War.”
“Tonight we need to create photos for the heart.”
“Memories to keep you warm when you are lonely and afraid.”
Young man brings the sweet Angel close.
Whispered kind words of love and thankfulness.
Soldier stand alone.
Cleans his M-16.
Death is all around him.
He closes his eyes,
he remembered.
The smell of flowers,
the feel of the her silk dress.
The sweet smile of his love.
Keeps him human.

(For Belladonna, some six words poetry.)
1- Michigan, quiet lakes, so far away.
2- Pretty lady, kind friend. Remember me.
3- War song, deadly song, death near.
4- The noise of war, too loud.
5- Sweetest word. Freedom, can’t be forgotten.
6- Ban books, create hate. Heartless leaders.
7- One more day, I need.
8- No color for soldiers, no religion for soldiers. No racism.
Just men and women, who stand as one.
We stand for freedom and safety for all.

well done

I always wonder what 4th of July truly means to Americans. If they really do take the time to consider it or if it’s simply just another holiday?
