A needed beautiful Lucy Gallant song and a poem. What the children see.
What the children see…
The children smile, the children laugh.
Their eyes of wonder see a world of opportunities to test life, befriend many.
A child doesn’t see color, the child doesn’t see race or religion. They are seeking the great adventure, some laughter and some craziness.
Our world would be kinder, our world would be better if we saw with the eyes of the children.
We would appreciate the morning sunrise, we would appreciate when the sun and the moon, kiss at dust.
The children, they smile, they laugh. Maybe we need to be like the child in heart?
Better to see life with hope and kindness. Seek new friendship and find many opportunities to dance and sing. Test life.
Be brave my friend, let’s be kind to each other.

Most importantly, children needs adults who ensure they have safety and space to grow their wonder.

I agree VJ. I raised four children and I am blessed with five grandchildren. I allow them to run free into the forest and the lake. Like my Ojibwa grandmother taught me.
