St. Clare of Assisi. We need to lead with concern, kindness and love.
Deeply influenced by St. Francis of Assisi, Clare refused to marry, as her parents wished, and fled to the Porziuncola Chapel below Assisi. On March 18, 1212, Francis received her vows, and thus began the Second Order of St. Francis. Many joined Clare, including her mother and her sister St. Agnes of Assisi, and soon the Poor Clares were housed in the church and convent of San Damiano, near Assisi. Clare became abbess there in 1216. Her great concern was to obtain a rule reflecting the spirit of Francis to replace the Benedictine rule that Cardinal Ugolino (later Pope Gregory IX) had adapted for her order. Two days before she died Pope Innocent IV approved her definitive rule

St. Clare of Assisi.
I am very lucky. I live near Lake St. Clair. A French explorer name her after the Saint Clare of Assisi.
(On August 12, 1679, French explorer René Robert Cavalier gave Lake St. Clair its name as the date of its discovery coincided with the feast day of Saint Clare of Assisi.)

I adore Lake St. Clair. Place for children to swim and play. My place to burn sage and know peace.
Many people walk their dogs and enjoy the beauty of the lake and the park.
Today my Ojibwa prayer.
” Almost a new year to begin,
time to release the burden of sadness,
time to release the heaviness of regret and anger.
Time to forgive and time to seek forgiveness.
2025 is near and we need a hopeful and strong mind.
My prayer is simple.
Every child in our world had food, safety and shelter.
I pray the sound of war is ended.
I pray the angry leaders seek peace over blood.
I hope and pray we learn.
Be kind to each other, listen to your family and friend.
One by one, we can change our world.
We cannot allow men and women who do not love the forest or human life.
To be our leaders.
We need Nature, more than she need us.
The children are the future, teach them well.
I pray to Saint Clara by Lake St. Clair.
Please help my world.
Children are being murdered for the profit of war and hate.
Coyote”
I hope my friend on WordPress know happiness and successful 2025.
Johnnie.
