When did I get old?

When did I get old?

1- Time isn’t kind to us..
Once I was a soldier,
once I was a business man and
now I am a old man.
I told the Lake St. Clair.
What we did yesterday, doesn’t matter no-more.
And what we became, is who we suppose to be.
Old sin, old hate and old regret is gone now.
The old man knows.
Too late to seek forgiveness.
Once loud man is silence now.
He became the midnight writer,
he became the forgotten man.
2- When did I get old?
Once I wanted to travel,
see the whole world.
Once I believed a woman love was forever.
I learn love is easily forgotten.
Now I drink the Gentleman Jack and
I don’t complain.
Once I wanted to save my world and I learn.
Can’t save a world, that don’t want to be saved.
I use to pray and now I drink.
I do love my Port Austin.
A small town touched by Lake Huron and
a place to find silence, a place to rest.
I asked Lake Huron. When did I get old?
She gave me a silence answer and understanding.
We can’t stop time. Time demand payment.
