Some California poetry.
Dear Clinton, Michigan
You told me often,
love wasn’t enough.
The heart becomes too hidden with time and age.
——
California wasn’t enough,
I called you my beautiful Jenny and I told you.
California coastline is so beautiful,
the Monterey Sea will steal your heart and mind.
I sat near the dancing waves with the clear sky, filled with the evening stars.
I whispered to the sea, sweet Jenny.
Please come to Monterey and be my love,
make California our last stand to know love.

Last stand,
last kiss, last wish.
First face remembered, last face wishing to be caressed and kissed.
You were my love and you were my hell.
Today I would stand the pain and misery of losing you,
if I could see your face and hold you near.
