The madness, we knew.
The madness, we knew..
A Poem by Coyote Poetry

The madness, we knew…
You loved the whiskey, you love the sin and you loved the long ride.
You wanted the sea , you wanted the ancient writers and you loved the quiet nights.
You found me alone drinking Gentleman Jack at Big Sur.
You sat with me and you told me. The madness, we love.
I like you. You gave up too. I like the blue sea in your eyes and
what do you see in me?
I told her. I have learn. Love will break your heart, soldiers are made to kill
and life is a twisted dance. No-one will win.
I remember you took my Gentleman Jack, drank it down deeply and
you told me.
I love the whiskey, I love the ancient writers and I love the long ride.
All we have is today. Tomorrow is not here and the whiskey kisses can be enough.
I remembered we danced the drunken dance and we made love on the cliffs
of Big Sur.
Now you and I. Became old and you asked me. Johnnie, let’s drink a lot of whiskey,
go to Big Sur. Get buck naked and fuck like children, we were once. Can we?
I told her. Today is a good day for Gentle Jack and the Big Sur.
Maybe we can find our laughter again.
