Tuesday poetry. Lead with concern, kindness and listen.
(For April, the poetry month. Number six.)
1- I was a soldier for 15 years. California taught me peace and Texas taught me madness.
Europe taught me. People can be kind and war taught me. We are led by angry and greedy men.
Does war teach us anything? I believe today the people of the USA are shellshocked.
USA guns and bombs killing and we do not know why we are fighting.
And the people in the USA are blind to the murder of children.
How many mass killings in the USA will be enough for us in the USA.
2- You cannot run away from yourself. Everything we do, will return to us.
Karma will catch us and we will swim in the good or bad deeds done.
3- We need weightless dreams and we need days where we are free to roam and think.
I need a good book, Lake St. Clair near and the loud voices of my grandchildren in my home.
Today I need my garden, a warm day and the sun on my face.
4- I have told many. If you do not stop war. War will find you. War will come to your doorstep.
Today our children are dying for oil and hate. The children pay for our sins.
