Short poems for nature.
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
Mother Earth
Her dress is of the green of the great forest.
Her gift is sweet water and food for us to eat.
We need to love and protect her.
Her gift is sweet water and food for us to eat.
We need to love and protect her.
The wolf and the bear.
When the wolf and the bear are gone.
Man will follow.
Memories of a wasteful race will be forgotten.
Man will follow.
Memories of a wasteful race will be forgotten.
The sea
A billion gallons of oil spilled into sea.
The oil sank.
The once alive ocean filled with life.
Will be murdered for the greed of oil.
The oil sank.
The once alive ocean filled with life.
Will be murdered for the greed of oil.
Natural herbs
Most of natural herbs for medicine grow in the rain forest.
Everyday the great tropical forest is being destroyed.
Do we realize half the needed oxygen we need come from tropical forest of our world?Thank you for reading.

Nature needs us as much as we need her, but we never know how to stop being nasty to her…

It is. My Great lakes are polluted. Lake Erie and lake St. Clair can’t be swimmed in. Even deep water isn’t safe.

I can easily imagine the future like one of those post-apocalyptic movies where everything is deserted and lots of young gangs fight for a glass of water … This if there is any future.

Houston, Texas and most of California have no water source. They must use the ocean. Very costly to make sea water drinkable. If we don’t change. We are in deep trouble.

Thank you for the video. I love the great forest and observing the free animals. Today like my Ojibwa Grandmother. I took my grand boys outside to wander with the trees. A wise person know. One people and one earth. We must love and protect Nature.

Thank you for reading and the comment. The photo of the fire is the dead sea. It is where Iraq dropped million gallons of diesel into their water source in 1992. I supported the team who had to burn the diesel off the water. I saw no sea life on the coastline of Saudi Arabia.

It’s a story that’s been lost among all of the other horrors.
I’ve just finished reading a beautifully poetic yet horrible book about Iraq, called The Yellow Birds. I’d recommend it.

I’m 1/’2 Ojibwa. I worry for the planet. Won’t be global warming. It will be pollution that will do us in. Thank you for reading and the comments.
