She is powerful. I like this spoken word poetry, as they call it now. My teenager showed me some on youtube and she was telling me how this is a new thing that poets speak their poetry.
It was new to her.
But we know that poets spoke their words to listeners long before my daughter was born. It is just that it has cylcled around to be the “new” thing again.
But it is nice to see the young people interested in sharing their voices with this spoken word poetry. They are the new voices of the world and it is good to see their compassion and empathy.
A new way for us to express our poetry. I will try to post verbal poetry when I’m more computer wise. Verbal poetry is cool. Good to see the face of the Poet.
