Two short poems.

Drunk in love

I found her alone sitting in the Monterey coffee shop.
Eyes of ocean blue and filled with sadness and regret.
She was my friend and we attempted love often.
I told her. Her sweet voice and long legs made me drunk in love.
I loved her sadness, regret and words.
I loved her sweet kiss, tasting of wine and whiskey.
The lovers kiss without regret or payment is gifts for the us who need and want little.

I dreamed of her. I love when our two bodies are fighting to reach new utopia of the body need.
Drunken love are just short stories to be written without the happy ending of forever.

Reading of hand

The pretty lady asked me with the Long Island honesty.
Am I beautiful? Am I worth someone time?

I took the woman right hand and traced a love line that reached forever.
I told her. You are a lover my pretty lady.
You have many lines crossing your love line. Disappointment and regret will be many.
The test of love will lead you to everlasting love.
You will be fine honey. Just remember you don’t find love. Love will find you.
