Forgive me
Forgive me
A Poem by Coyote Poetry

You are so far away from me and I wish to see you.
The day seem longer and sadder.
The sun seem less warm and bright.
I didn’t know you were my gentleness and hope in this wild ride.
Please forgive me for what I did to you.
I was young and foolish, learning the many ways to love.
I made the lover’s mistake, not appreciating the gift of kiss and embrace.
I hope I didn’t leave you with regret and negative thoughts of us.
You are a fond memory I cannot forget.
In the midnight hours. I whispered a wish for your soft hands tangling with my hands.
Kissing those tender and sweet lips till sleep stole our passion away.
I know our ending was filled with sadness and I wish your new beginnings are filled with
happiness and joy.
I learn too late. Ain’t no sunshine when you are gone.
