Dear Clinton, Michigan
You told me often.
Love wasn’t enough.
The heart become too hidden with time and age.
——
California isn’t enough
I called you beautiful Jenny and I told you.
California coastline is so beautiful.
The Monterey sea will steal your heart and mind.
I sat near the dancing waves with clear sky, filled with the stars.
I whispered to the sea. Sweet Jenny.
Come to Monterey and be my love.
Make California our last stand to know love.
—————————-
Last stand
Last kiss, last wish.
First face remembered, last face wishing to be caressed and kissed.
You were my love and you were my hell.
Today I would stand the pain and misery of losing you.
If I could see your face and hold you near.

I used to play and sing this one years ago myself. (I have worked at many jobs in my time.) I can’t quite believe how I had forgotten it. But there I had. So thank you x
