Absolutely marvelous, johncoyote. Now, to go in search of the poet. Thanks for bringing this work and this writer to my attention. Since the days of Title Nine (IX in silly-speak writing by U.S. federal governmentspeak circa 1976) high school girls and college young women have been given the athletic platforms they so richly deserved (and were held back from by such silly notions of propriety and ability). The form, the meter and the tone truly are a wonderful work that needs – no, begs; no demands! – wider audience. Again, thanks.
