Dear Clinton, Michigan
You told me often.
Love wasn’t enough.
The heart become too hidden with time and age.
——
California isn’t enough
I called you beautiful Jenny and I told you.
California coastline is so beautiful.
The Monterey sea will steal your heart and mind.
I sat near the dancing waves with clear sky, filled with the stars.
I whispered to the sea. Sweet Jenny.
Come to Monterey and be my love.
Make California our last stand to know love.
—————————-
Last stand
Last kiss, last wish.
First face remembered, last face wishing to be caressed and kissed.
You were my love and you were my hell.
Today I would stand the pain and misery of losing you.
If I could see your face and hold you near.
———
Dear Jennifer
Lovely Jennifer.
The sea is near and I’m drinking the tequila slowly.
The kind folks in California are kind to me.
I wish you were here with me.
Enjoying the warm days and Monterey.
Once you held me like your last breathe and
I didn’t know.
You were my last grasp at love.
Dear Jennifer. I do miss you so.

Thank you for reading. The old poetry seem like myth and tale now.
