My Easter Prayer – No more war

My Easter Prayer

Dear Lord. Johnnie is very tire and concern. A rough year for us. Easter is tomorrow and we need the lessons of Jesus. All of us, need to stop. Pray together as one. Pray the children can go to school without fear, pray the wars can stop, pray our leader can learn to lead with concern, kindness and friendship.  Need shipments of food, water and medicine to the places that are struggling. Not the soldiers and guns. Please Lord, teach the leaders,  every life had value, every child is precious. Please clean the hate from the hateful men. Please teach them. No winner in war. Once was a man, he taught the world, love and forgiveness is the way. A raised fist cannot open the door to peace. An open hand willing to accept another hand in the name of love and friendship. Is the way to peace and safety in our world. My Easter wish is, every child is safe, every child had food and shelter and the active wars are stopped. Old wise saying. “We the people”. The people can accept the world as-is or stand as one for love. Happy Easter.

The war is over

The war is over for you, my friend.
The taps were played.
Many soldiers stood near your grave.
A soldier is resting now and he had found peace under six feet of dirt.

I wondered?
Do the dead soldier find peace?
The sound of guns and bombs are silence now for them.
The soldier life of blood and guts left behind.
The war is over for them.

I pour a six-pack of Miller high life on a lonely grave.
I told my friend. No winners in war. We were tricked and fooled.
After you stand by a grave of a soldier, a friend who left family and children.
You understand.

Blood demand blood. War had no conscious. Men will fight till they can’t bleed no-more.
