‘Leather and lace’
The black dress
Pretty lady danced alone on the Austin Texas dance floor. Tight black dress, long legs and her beautiful face dark with sadness. I watched her and she saw me observing her soft and easy movement on the dance floor to the old fashion rock and roll. She came to me and she asked. “Are you a silhouette waiting for a rife? or just don’t give a damn?
I smiled and I told her. Dark angels are dangerous sirens. Woman who want nothing and want everything. Just fantasy for desperate men. Black hearten ladies disguise need for love. Just allow glimpses of their true face. Even the sinner’s prayers tell us. Women swimming in guilt, hate and regret. You are just walking on dangerous sea heading toward a bad ending.
Her face became softer and she asked. Some people deserve what they get. Some people get what they don’t deserve. Is it better to follow the hopeful path or we are destine to swim in shit forever? I told her. Sometime we need a reason to come alive. Once my religion was love. Today lady love seem so far away. Sometimes fragment of love are the stepping stones. Maybe the unlucky can find hope in the midnight hours of the Austin, Texas nights.
Leather and lace
She took me home. She promised me some eggs and bacon. I loved her long Texas girl’s legs and honest voice. She told me.” I like you Johnnie. You make me laugh and smile. I need to laugh and smile honey.
I knew to expect nothing. Desperate men scare woman with heavy heart and fear opening new doors. Locked shut. I told her. Dear Amanda. Thank you for being kind to me. I needed the good company. She smiled and she told me. I will dress down and be back in a second sweet heart. She appeared wearing a lacy nightgown.
We drank and talks till the morning light was appearing. I promised her the Texas Coastline and she listened to my tales. She told me. “I have been attracted the wrong kind. I need someone to make me want to be untamed and wanted. ” Her hands became softer as she caressed my face. She looked into my eyes and she dropped her lace nightgown and she straddled me. She wore light covering of leather. Barely hiding perfect body and she put her face into my neck. She whispered.
“Leather and lace dreams dear Johnnie. Love need to be tempting and wonderful. We need to free feel and loved. I loved the way you looked at me. Like I was special.”
I brought her closer and I kissed her tender lips and I whispered. My dark angel. Slow and easy we must go. You are a perfect beauty and I want us to make love deep into the late afternoon. I don’t want us to miss anything. You are my Texas dream and my leather and lace wish. I want us to stay together and us to be bounded into a river of hope and possibilities.
She smiled and her kisses became softer and more desperate. I held her closer and we waited for the morning sun. She told me. “Thank you sweet heart. You are what I need. Make a woman heart dance with hope and have wishes.

You’ve a way to entice last-line-reading, waiting ‘bated-breathlessly for the unexpected expected ending. The changing voice – the tense and semi-literate Texas twang of this tale reeks of verisimilitude, John.
