I’ll Be Waiting

Set amid the tall dune grass and sun-drenched bay

my lonely heart beats in rhythm to yours so far away —

Though the distance of sea and land keep us parted

I wait for your warm embrace from the maps in which you charted.

Upon mighty waves crashing about tossing and churning

know I am here standing on the edge with a heart that is yearning.
