I am going home
I am going home
Soldier boy, the running man.
Received a phone call in the Winter of 1991,
Grandpa is gone,
he loved you and he missed you.
He told his kind sister,
I am coming home,
he hung the phone-up,
he felt the Iraq heat on his face and soft tears begin to fall.
Three months later,
holding a steel container with a blessed name upon her.
He learn,
he had everything once,
love near,
great mentors and he whispered a prayer.
I miss you my kind friend and I am home now.
Please save a seat in heaven for me,
please forgive me seeking escape when I should of been seeking home.

Greatly moving music and Tim is one of those fascinating original one of a kind artists I find fascinating. 👍 Condolences on your grandfather, and thanks for posting because it reminded me how long it’s been since I touched base with my own family.

The song reminded me of a sad day. Lost grandfather when I was away in Iraq. Thank you dear friend for reading and the comment.
