Sheila Mary Solarin (Nee Tuer), wife to Dr. Tai Solarin, one of Nigeria’s foremost educators and agitators for social justice. With her late husband, they founded the famous Mayflower School in Ikenne, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Cries of a generation
Reverberates through the air
She is not lost to us, one bellows
Obirin Ogun!
We resound.
Bride of Tai the Great
Obirin Rere!
The crowds chants in unison
You journeyed from afar
Calling out with your sweet voice
Solely just to change lives, our lives
Memories past flood our minds
We dare not ask
‘Where fort art thou?’ Mama Nla!
For you are everywhere like
The sea of numerous scholars
You birth from your womb
Visionary, woman of valor
Great and fearless leader
Your push and dedication to see
Every child to a glorious future will never be forgotten
