Our world… Old world, new world.
Our world…Old world, new world.
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
Just words
Old world, new world
Old world is gone. Our world is quiet.
Today the streets are empty,
people are being kinder to each other.
Time for us to lead with concern, kindness and listen to each other.
I pray our new world,
we send water, food and medicine to countries in need.
Time for the leaders of our world to befriend each other.
Our children are watching.
I pray we create a new world,
where war is forgotten,
and human kindness is alive and well.

Our world
Grandchild played with other children at the beach.
He does not see the color of the other children skin and
he doesn’t question the children race or religion.
They built a great dam and a small city of sand.
Would be nice if us grown-ups could learn from them.
Life is simple.
Work together and lead with concern, kindness and friendship.
Rate someone by their deeds and learn.
Many with the same goals,
can create a proper dam and city.

My grandchild told me. We learn to take cover in school today.
Grandpa, I heard the teachers talking. The principle will carry a gun.
Grandpa. I’m afraid to go to school.
He brought his grandchild near and he told him.
Can’t allow fear to overtake us and you must be brave.
Your generation must fix this world.
You must go to school. Learn about this world and not allow fear to slow you down.
Fear is the true weakness.
Bad people want us to know fear and mistrust.
We must lead with concern, kindness and love.
The boy smiled and he hugged his Grandfather.
He told him.
Okay grandpa. I will be like you.
You like everyone and I will be brave.

Wow. Soft much? I’m glad you’re advocating kids with threats of gun violence continue to subsume and not do anything about it. Families suck. If you love something, you’re probably not being honest about.
Thanks for writing.

We cannot live in fear. I was a soldier for 15 years. I learn, violence is part of men. A great poet wrote. “The world won’t die with a bang, the world will die with a whimper.” I taught my children to be strong. To me, family is everything. I am soft in heart now and I am tire of war and hate.
