Martin Luther King Jr. day 18 January
Martin Luther King Jr. My hero of yesterday and my hero of today. A man of love and peace. He helped all people. My Mexican Grandfather and I saw him speak in Detroit. A voice of a lion and a heart of a saint. He told us. Walk together as one people for the dream of unity and no hate. Teach the children to be kind to each other. Maybe the children can teach us to be better people. New world is here. Maybe the great man words will be shouted out to my world. Raise fist and anger isn’t the way to peace and equality. We need all people to stand for love. Stand for fair world where every person had opportunity and chance. Thank you Martin Luther King Jr. We need your strength today.

I got cut-off. Tomorrow is his day. No media talking about him. To me. This is sad. We need his words today. Thank you Marcello.

You’re right, John. Today very few remember him. Certainly not the media, committed as they are to showing the wickedness of the world.Thank you, John.

Me too dear Liz. I asked my grandchildren. Why are you off Monday? He told me. I don’t know. I called the school and I asked. Do you discuss Martin Luther King Jr.? They told me. Only required one hour for the month. A forgetful world.

This is very upsetting. I hate to think that Dr. King died in vain.

Us, must ensure he is not forgotten. He was a hero to my Mexican grandfather and he took me to hear him speak in Detroit. 500.000 people, dressed to the t. Standing as one with Martin Luther king Jr. Later in my life I realized. I was part of something special. Dear Liz. I hope he didn’t die in vain.
