Depression hides behind every smile,

anxiety jumping on us when we least expect it,

suicide is a shadow following our friends,

have we forgotten how to take care of ourselves?

When society thrusts a world of expectation on us.

We have to act like a lady, that means no speaking up.

Be tough like a man– you can’t like pink, you must have muscles.

But the truth is, we don’t know what we’re doing,

though we strive to.

We all have to learn the truth of life,

that it cannot be lived alone,

or it will be lived in vain.

Look at the trees, they breathe without a worry
