I didn’t know…

I didn’t know…
I didn’t know I would love you forever. In sweet and deadly dreams. Phantasm memories of your bare feet moving slowly and the softness of your skin made me yearn, why I didn’t make this moment last forever.

Love is drawn as a long line. Dotted on that line are those moments, not lasting forever. Some are earned, while others are stolen.
What matters, I believe, is laying those moments to rest in our heart. We can go on, forever, with the memories to those moments, whether earned or stolen, out on every bridge we must cross. We can walk with them on bare feet. We can walk with them even in children’s shoes.
Those moments can last forever, so long we do not let them slip, so long as we do not take them for granted.
We had what we had, and the memory to who gave it to us goes on for another lifetime.
