branded with the Star of David
herded into box cars like cattle
burnt in a furnace like garbage
for in the eyes of the Godless -- they were nothing...
where had i heard this before…
haa... yes...
Taken from their homes
branded with red hot irons

I just read Diary of a Young Girl and Night, both very eye opening and life changing reads that I hope more people will take the time to truly digest. We must never forget the trials and misjustices of past generations.

You are right dear Kameron. I saw the death camps in 1973. I could smell burned hair still. It is sad what men can do and they are still doing.

Have you seen the movie The Book Thief? I haven’t read the book yet but the movie was an interesting look at the other side. I especially enjoyed the narration from death.
It hurts my heart to know the cruelty we can do to each other. But I also believe without the bad we wouldn’t know the good. The bad, as horrible as it can be, is a reminder of the choice we all have to be better!
