RISE AND RAISE YOUR VOICE, a poem
Please read the amazing poetry. Heartfelt and powerful words.
Rise and raise your voice
Come, let's make some noise
Modesty has failed, be not poised
Each with his weapon
The soldier with his gun
A pastor with his bible
A doctor with his needle
I with my pen
I've risen, my voice I've raised
Grandpa couldn't speak this language
Mama's diction wasn't right
Mine's as good as yours
Beyond these walls, I'll use my education
Deals it sealed and got me a promotion
Mama needs one too
Spilling ink, I'll craft a letter
And bring to a conclusion this matter
My voice I'll raise for she can speak no more
My voice I'll raise for this language to him is foreign
Mama's voice matter
In me grandpa's voice will be heard
