Our children and the teachers who protect/teach.

1- Little children..
Beautiful faces, fearless faces. The little children want to have some fun and enjoy life. Now 19 children were murdered in a classroom. I have five grandchildren and everyday, I send them off to school. I told my youngest. Fight or flight. Someone said is praying isn’t enough. She was right. We must demand change in the gun laws. We must scream and shout against 50 men in the Senate. Today I look at the photo of 19 children and two teachers. I do pray for the parent, the grandparent, the family and the city. Something cannot be forgotten, some pain is forever.
2- Dear Eva Mireles and dear Irma Garcia….
Two strong and beautiful women tried to protect the children. They found them holding the children they taught. What were their last words to the children? Teachers in the school blocked the doors with their bodies. Willing to accept bullets for the children they loved, they taught. What is our world becoming? Dear Eva and dear Irma, I pray the children are at their feet . Teacher, a honored word.
3- 50 men in the Senate say. The guns are not the problem. Thousand of school children are marching together against the weak gun laws in the USA. if they passed the bill for stronger I.D checks and age limit two years ago. Today two teachers and nineteen children would be alive still. Maybe if us parents, grandparent and adult stand as one. Vote out the NRA supporters. Make our world safer for the children and all people. Over 200 mass killings in the USA this year. When will the USA have enough?
Thank you for reading.
My heart breaks continuously for humanity. Period. I always say WE ALL have stories but many of us would never harm people regardless of our background. That my friend is when I question the constant excuse of mental health. Yes I know there is a mental health crisis. However some things especially such as this atrocity and many other atrocities are committed by evil…..pure evil……

Me too my friend. Maybe our children will create change. Even in the Detroit area. The children did walk-outs of their schools for the 19 children and two teachers.

Wow, I hadn’t heard about that, but good for them.

Me too dear friend. When the Governor of Texas and the senator said after the killing of 21 people. Was the door fault. If they passed the law in the Senate two years ago. A eighteen year old wouldn’t be able to buy a automatic weapon. Time for change. The children are demonstrating already. Time for the adults to join in. No-one in the civil population need to own a automatic weapon. the 50 men and women who support the NRA. They must go.

This is such a tragedy. It is beyond me how anyone could kill children. One thing I notice, the killer first killed his grandmother, there are no pictures of her in the media and like most parents/grandparents she will have done her best for him. 😪😪😪

I heard she threated to take his cell-phone away. She is in the hospital. He shot her in the face. Hard to grasp dear Carolyn. So much sadness for the small city in Texas.

Thank you Raven. One of the student told the media. His teacher blocked the door with his body to stop the bullets. Time for change my friend.

Living in the UK the American fascination in holding on to an achaic right to bear arms over the lives of children and innocent people beggars belief. Serioualy, do Americans value attack guns more than children – because that’s what it looks like this side of the pond?

You are right Raven. 50 men in the Senate. Still blaming doors and the people. The reporters keep repeating. Do children need a automatic weapon?

So the doors did it? People, parents of the children I believe, naturally wanting to protect their children did it? What the hell is wrong with this world?

I wish I knew Raven. Those poor parent, grandparent and the city. A forever wound. It is sad when nine year old girls rub blood on their bodies and she must act dead. To stay alive. Poor children must become soldiers now. This is so damn wrong.

Government needs to grab its balls like ours did after Dunblane. I’m not against guns, or any other weapon, but it needs tight regulation and control and that is governmental responsibility to put that in place.
I don’t know what the American equivalent would be but I was one of those sending letter after letter to my MP (government representative) after Dunlane – and as a gun owner I knew it meant putting children first over that.
No child should be afraid of going to school? No parent should worry if their kid might not come home?
