Pretty lady dancing alone…

Pretty lady dancing alone…

(April is poetry month. New poetry number twenty-five.)

1- Once upon a time. Alexandra believe in miracle. She believed life was fair. Now we dances In Killeen, Texas strip bar. Bob Seger songs she danced to. Now she wants very little, her cozy house in the desert and her garden. She like being alone. She didn’t like words no-more. Silence can’t break your heart.

2- Johnnie arrived at 2 am. Alexandra last friend, she needs. He drive her home on Friday and Saturday night. She liked him. He ask no questions and he bring her fresh flowers for her indoor garden. She told him often. I like your eyes. You look at me like I am clean. I need to feel clean.

3- She was a part-time poet and she shared with Johnnie only. He read her new poetry.

“We love the dirt, we love the lies.

We need to swim in the sin and the Irish whiskey.

We like to bleed, we like to scream.

We get what we deserve.

We beg, we demand.

We attempt to feel alive.

You are a soldier and I am a dancer.

Just sacrificial meals, we had learn to digest.

We have forgotten the need of love.

We need fingers and lips on our skin to awake our sleeping souls.

I do appreciate you near, we love the desert and we love the quiet.”

Johnnie brought her near sitting on the outdoor loveseat.

He told her. When we need little, when we are hiding in the quiet desert.

We have enough dear Alexandra. John Donne told us many moons ago.

We don’t find love, love will find us.

Sometime we need company to make us know, we are not alone.
