War pigs…

War pigs…

(April is poetry month. New poetry number thirty.)

1- (In 2023, the US military spent approximately $820.3 billion, or roughly 13.3% of the entire federal budget for that fiscal year.)

(The DoD’s 2024 defense budget was signed into law on December 22, 2023 at $841.4 billion, slightly less than was initially requested.)

Who do we fight war for? I lost three friends to the new wars. They received two lines in a newspaper only. Sake of knowledge. Soldiers, like the Police force/ Firemen must paid for their life insurance. We will pay 820 billion dollars for war and the soldiers will pay their own life insurance. There is no declared wars for the USA. 13 cent on every tax dollar go to the contractors.

2- Old soldier buy two beers and two whiskeys. He is sitting alone. On 24 August, he remembered his good friend Don. Killed in Iraq. He goes early and he wrote into a notebook.

–God of war, who decide who live, who decide who live?

The soldier left behind are the storytellers of good men,

who cannot speak no-more.

Today I will say some names and I will drink the beer and the whiskey.

Us soldiers know. I will join my father at the soldier table,

I will join my friend lost to war at the soldier table.

And if my father ask me. Did we win? Did we do the right things?

I will give them a silence answer.

3- The War pig make no profit from peace.

114 million people are homeless,

the sound of war is near.

114 million people are seeking shelter,

seeking safe place and food.

Where are the men of peace?

Prayers are nice, proper action is necessary.

I believe if the media posted the name of people person killed by war,

the name of every soldier killed for the cause of war.

If they posted every name of the people killed at the concert in Russia,

if they posted the name of the 1300 Jewish people killed at a concert and

the names of the people killed in Palestine.

Maybe the word, War. Would become distasteful and ugly.

Today the War pigs are singing their song loud and clear.

Life had no value.

Time to quit teaching hate and it is time for our world to heal.

This is one earth and one people.

Every life lost to war. Was someone son or daughter? Was someone father or mother?
