Nothing could stop me..

December 17, 2024 6:53 am

( Some desires, some memories can break your heart. Sometime we are wrong and nothing can stop us. From making a fatal mistake. I know.)

Nothing could stop me..

Was a warm Summer day in Germany. And I saw a beautiful German girl. Blond hair,

long legs, a white Summer dress and the sweetest smile.

Nothing could stop me from attempting to know her.

Was a gentle July breeze and I felt the warning of a new journey to begin.

Nothing could stop me from following her. Her hair flowing in the gentle wind.

The gesture of her walk pulling me nearer to her.

Not even the warning of my heart could stop me. For when you turned and caressed me

with your ocean blue eyes. So gentle, I was lost already.

Not even the love of another could make me walk away from you. For we already twisted

in the chaos of love without one kiss.

Nothing could stop me from talking to her. We talks of our dreams and hope. Somehow

we entwine our two lives with a verbal agreement.

Not all life is fair. We would become one, leaving tears for others to cry.

I learn nothing last forever. Even the sweetest kiss, the greatest love will fade away.

Not even the kindest love can be. For when the heart is young. We will allow the greatest

love to fade away.

Nothing can last, except the memories. Those are the stories that will haunt us forever.

Today I want nothing. But maybe to be unafraid. For tonight. I can still see the young lion

chasing the dream of love and hope.

    1. One of my oldest poems. Written in 1980. Thank you dear Camilla for reading and the comment.
