Please show me who you are..

Please show me who you are…
I told you. I am the fortunate one. You allowed me to see you happy, see you sad. I know woman are filled with mystery and secrets. They can make you feel like a king if they desire. I know I am the lucky one.
Pretty lady smiled and I adored her eyes, her twisted smile. She whispered. Love cost plenty dear Johnnie. When you see too much, want everything. You will steal the need away. You and I. We are just dancers on the bloody storm. I liked you. You didn’t want to change me and you listen to me when I talk. You love the Black Velvet whiskey and you don’t want to steal my soul. Love should be easy, love should be fun. You made life fun, you made love fun.
I told her. I remember you found me. Writing poetry by the sea and you made me read to you for hours. I asked you to read to me and I fell in love with your voice. I told you. Please stay with me and allow me to know gladness. You honored me and you stayed.
She stood-up and she took me to the Monterey bay. We danced with the moving sea and I told her. Thank you for being kind to me. You made empty life. Wild, worthwhile and so damn amazing.
She brought me closer and she told me. Love shouldn’t cost everything, love isn’t ownership. With you. I can be who I am. You love my happiness, you love my anger and you leave me be when I need silence. You don’t ask dumb question. You allow me to accept who I am. Johnnie, I am the fortunate one.

“Love, they say, shouldn’t be hard. But in a world where we often seek more than we need, true love becomes rare. Perhaps true happiness lies in loving as we are, without the desire to change each other. Simply being together, dancing through the storm, enjoying those small, beautiful moments. In love that doesn’t try to shape us, but accepts us as we are. That is love that makes us happy, love that should be fun, that gives us space to grow. Maybe that’s the true meaning of happiness – simply being loved and loving, without the weight of expectations.”
