Never love a broken-hearted woman.
Never love a broken-hearted woman.
(April is poetry month. New poetry number seventeen.)
1- Was a sweet dream once. Prettiest gal I ever known.
Befriended me and I adored her. I didn’t learn yet.
Never love a broken-hearted woman.
A locked-up heart cannot be opened till she forgives herself.
A cold hearted can stay frozen till time steal the pain away.
2- You can share whiskey; you can share kisses.
You can dance till midnight with an unhappy woman.
Prettiest gal in Michigan told me. Johnnie, Johnnie.
I hate love. And I held my silence and I did a fool’s wish.
I tried to take apart her sadness and pain.
I left her on a warm September night with silence with a final gift.
I learn a broken-hearted lady cannot be loved no-more.
3- My daddy told me. Best remedy for a broken-heart.
Get a new woman. Get a better one.
He was right and I tell the young folks.
Quit crying, learn from your mistakes.
Go slow and easy. Find someone who adored you.
Do not accept less, demand more.
John
Loved the wisdom from your Dad!!! So true!
“My daddy told me. Best remedy for a broken-heart.
Get a new woman. Get a better one. . . . . one who adores you!!
Easier said than done!!! The heart takes awhile to heal, for sure!

Yes Chuck. But in time we can heal. I appreciate the comment.

Yes, that is so true, but as I have learned from you “there really is no going back to where we were?”. Second chances can sometimes work but things never go back to the way it was in the past, not exactly, do they??
Love that I finally found the woman who loved me as me! It took 3 times but good not to give up – Find another girl! It worked for me! LOL!
