Easy June and some photos.

Kind Michigan June.
The June days are easy. Mid-month, vacation for the grandchildren.

I became my grandfather. Love my garden. Ensure the garden is strong and beautiful.

My tulips are my favorite. Return to my garden yearly.

The roses are beginning to bloom and my dog Sergeant. He loved the month of June too.

I enjoyed your flowers. I miss Michigan summers. I grew up in Bear Lake (Manistee County). Cute pooch!

Oh, I agree. I live near miles and miles of flat Illinois corn fields. This place has it’s own beauty, but it drives me bananas. I long for lakes and streams, hills and trees, and more trees, and pretty sunsets on Lake Michigan. Tulips in April. Asparagus in May. Strawberries in June. Cherries in July and August. Apples in September and October. Rainbow Trout and Walleye. Apple Cider and Maple Syrup. Friday night fish fries. Wildlife just outside your back door.
I make due with enormous corn and soy bean fields, catfish, huge and transient student population, a consistently terrible university football team, tornadoes, sweet corn in the summer up to your eyeballs, horseshoe sandwiches. The wildlife outside near my house: birds (which I enjoy), and large rodent variety creatures: raccoons, possums, and those woodchuck thingees. Oy! What’s a Michigan girl to do? Hahaha!
One thing I really like though, the Covered Bridge Festival. Also, down here….pumpkin everything! I love pumpkin. So, Central Illinois isn’t a total bust.
I’m sorry I just blathered on.
